Supply Chain Mgmt.

Supply chain management covers 3 main focuses throughout the year; 1) supply chain management, 2) operations management, and 3) logistics. It is a 2 year 2 period program Junior and Senior year for students (the sophomore marketing class is an introduction but not required to be in the program). Supply Chain management is the basic movement of the product life cycle, going from raw materials such as wood, rubber, plastic, turning that raw material into individual parts, combining the individual parts into a single product, packaging that product, and then distributing that product to stores or directly to customers. Operations management is the production and manufacturing side of the supply chain. Logistics is the actual physical movement within the supply chain an how to efficiently cut costs for moving the products (inventory, warehousing, distribution fall into logistics as well as transportation).
